For 21 years, we've been crafting wines guided by one belief: place is everything.

Fiona and I are the proud custodians of four vineyards, gradually acquired over nine years. Each is significant in supporting our conviction that place is the most important factor in making truly great wine.

Great wine begins when we understand the soil, aspect, and mood of each vineyard—and deeply consider what occurred there before our arrival. This understanding guides us to plant the right grape variety in each of Our Places: Nebbiolo in the Adelaide Hills, Aglianico at Olivers Road in McLaren Vale, Grenache nestled in Blewitt Springs, and Shiraz at Upper Tintara in the McLaren Vale foothills.

Creating wines that reflect our sense of place and our way of life is what we do best.

We love the unusual, celebrate provenance, and encourage exploration by making wines that suit the food we make and the way we live.

Our approach brings together decades of winemaking experience with growing insights to create wines that offer a new way of thinking—inspiring a generation of winemakers who delight in the different and trust what the land can produce.
